The average university student budget is approximately NOK 9785 per month. This amount should cover most monthly expenses such as housing, food, clothing, study materials, books, transport and social activities.
International exchange students intending to stay in Norway for more than three months must obtain a residence permit for students.As a general rule, the residence permit should be applied for and granted before you arrive in Norway. Students can apply at the Norwegian consulate/embassy in their home country.The processing of applications may take 6 -10 weeks so it is recommend that you obtain all the required documents as early as possible.
